Three tips that will revolutionize your morning by making it more productive

If you’re lucky enough to be a morning person, well, consider yourself lucky. For a lot us, it can seem impossible to make it out of bed without hitting the snooze button five or six or seven times first. But studies have shown that having a productive morning helps make your whole day more productive! Plus, getting into a healthy routine makes staying healthier easier too.

 

It’s all about setting yourself up for success. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at three key things you can do to get your day started on the right foot.

 

No More Sleeping In

You’d be surprised how quickly a few “just ten more minutes” add up. All of a sudden, it’s 8:30 and you have thirty minutes to shower, get dressed, and get yourself to work by 9 o’clock which is…. Well, probably impossible. Besides, now instead of getting a jumpstart on your morning and being able to get ready at a normal pace, you’re rushing like a maniac and stressing out over that extra twenty minutes in bed that didn’t even give you any extra energy! In addition, you maybe had a really bad night (which you can track with a fitness bracelet tracker). That kind of stress first thing in the morning can make it harder to make healthy choices later on in the day too… Which leads me to my next point.

 

Establish a healthy routine.

How you spend your morning sets up how you’re going to spend the rest of your day. Take an extra few hours in the morning for yourself and get into a routine you enjoy. Take some time to get ready, check your email, browse the latest headlines, and eat a healthy breakfast. You’ll feel more relaxed as you head out for your day, more prepared, and more energized. Start to really utilize your time in the morning, it will make all the difference later on.

 

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Speaking of breakfast, make it a good one! If you start off your day shoveling down a bagel and cream cheese as you run out the door, you’re never going to feel on top of the morning. Have something healthy and easy to prepare on hand that you can chow on as you go through your regular morning routine. Something like a slice of whole grain toast with sliced avocado is simple to make, super healthy, and packed with nutrients to give you lots of energy to start your day right!
